About Us
Established 1981

Our Founders
In 1981, Mr. and Mrs. Ramon Chavez and their son, Robert, started doing business unloading, loading, and moving heavy machinery weighing up to 30,000 pounds for other companies in the area.

Moving Forward
When customers were interested in buying the forklifts that would do the work, Ramon and Robert began selling them.

The Family-Owned Business
Over time, Robert's brothers and sister (Ramon Jr., Raul, Roy, Ricky, and Rosemary) joined the company, making it a fully family owned and operated business. With that, Permian Machinery Movers was born.

Where We Began
Permian Machinery Movers originally had a small quonset hut building located at 5720 W. HWY 80 in 1981.

Odessa
In 1994, the company moved into our current location of 2200 W. Interstate 20. Not only do we move equipment for others and sell forklifts (both used and new), but we also work on the machines and rent to whoever has a need.

El Paso
Our El Paso store is led by Robert's brother, Roy, and was opened in 1987. We moved to a newer and larger warehouse in 2004.

San Antonio
Our San Antonio branch opened its doors in 2007 and is led by Ramon Jr..

Our Brand
In 1997, we acquired the Unicarriers brand of new forklift trucks (which was originally the TCM brand at the time).

Komatsu
In 2009, we gained the Komatsu brand forklift dealership for our Odessa and El Paso locations.
